Paolo Renditore

It's the end of the 19th century: Rive is a small rural village in the Vercelli area, very close to Casale Monferrato. Paolo Renditore tells us the story of his great-grandfather Piero and his son Vincenzo: a family of professional farmers, who managed the Castle and its lands. Almost half a century of hard work and sacrifices passed when, around 1940, Piero finally managed to acquire his own piece of land in the Vercelli area, purchasing the "Cascina Cascinassa," rich in fertile and productive land. The work of a rice farmer always requires a spirit of sacrifice, but working one's own land brings a different kind of satisfaction, a pride that involves the whole family, from his wife Mariella to their two children Piero and Laura. These are family stories passed down from generation to generation, each with a dream to fulfill: today, they look to the future with a type of cultivation that respects the environment and the land where Paolo Renditore's grandchildren live. This is a farm that is an example of environmental protection, thanks to new low-impact cultivation techniques and energy recovery produced by the new photovoltaic system. Because to produce excellent rice, it must be done in the most appropriate way and with respect for the land in which one lives.
