Roberto Pisano

The youngest partner of Ecorì, Roberto Pisano shares his extensive experience in rice farming with his colleagues. His family of farmers originated from the Casalese region: it was his grandfather, with his two sons Mario and Franco, who moved in the 1930s from Villanova Monferrato to the Lachelle hamlet of the municipality of Ronsecco, where his partner Giovanni Barone also grew up. After a forced hiatus during the Second World War, in 1964 the Pisano family moved to Cascina Cavallo in San Germano Vercellese, where they remained until 1994. Roberto has spent his life in the fields, breathing the country air and cultivating a passion for rice farming since childhood. Today, he runs the Besina farm in the Vercelli area and also cultivates land in the Baraggia Piemontese area, a territory famous worldwide for its excellent rice farming.
