Apollo rice is an aromatic Italian rice similar to Basmati, the needle-grained rice that only comes from India and Pakistan, due to climate and branding issues. Apollo rice is an excellent Italian alternative to Basmati for those who appreciate local products. With long, tapered grains, it releases a natural aroma during cooking reminiscent of freshly baked bread and popcorn. Its natural aroma is also perceptible when raw, with notes of white flowers that make it highly appreciated by Rice Sommeliers. In the kitchen, Apollo rice is very versatile: excellent boiled and seasoned with a drizzle of oil, it is suitable for pilaf cooking and can be served as a side dish in fusion cuisine, such as chicken curry.
